Arden Shoot 2
'Hometime'
This page contains images and the final product for my second Arden shoot in week 2. This short is called 'Hometime', I was an spark, second to the Gaffer in the lighting department. I had a pleasant experience on set creating the aesthetic of the 'office' we were shooting in through lighting.

LED Lights Set Up
This image shows myself setting up one of our two NEEWER LED lights to our set up. Adjusting the settings, height, and ensuring its safety.

NEEWER Light Settings
This image is the settings we used for our LED 'key' light used for reflecting the light off of the set wall. Settings were agreed by the gaffer, DOP, and me and then set by myself.

Key Light Final Position
The final position of our key light bouncing the light off of the white wall to brighten the set and act as the main source of light. Finalised after experimenting how we could light our set efficiently.

Set Safety
In this picture you can see me adding sandbags to the light stand and moving the cable out of the walkway for safety.

LED 'Laptop' Light
This hidden light on screen mimics the light for the characters laptop. It was very effective on screen.

Adjusting Light Angle
In this picture you can see me adjusting the angle of our light, experimenting in the prep session to bounce the light off of the wall.

Final Product Still
This image is taken from our final edited product of 'Hometime' and displays perfectly the aesthetic we created.

LED Bluetooth Control
The Gaffer and I had to use an app on our phone to switch the hidden light off when the laptop lid closed. I prompted the Gaffer when it should be switched off whilst they pressed the button. This was very effective.

Crew Photo
Here the crew are preparing for the shoot, as you can see I am discussing lighting.

Final Product Still
This image is taken from our final edited product of 'Hometime' and displays perfectly the aesthetic we created. You can see the effect of the hidden LED in front of the laptop screen.
LED Bluetooth Control
These videos show how we were controlling the small LED through an app on the phone to create the desired effect.
Final Product
This is the final edited video and shows off the lighting and aesthetic that we created. I am overall very happy with how the lighting looked on screen and given feedback from the Director, so were they.
